Recreate These 7 Off-Duty Model Looks the Sustainable Way

Share

Our favorite off-duty models still bring the runway-ready vibes with these street styles you can easily mimic with sustainable fashion finds.

While I am a true lover of over-the-top runway looks there is also something incredible about a laid-back, off-duty model vibe. The current runway stars are constantly proving that while couture looks are definitely lust-worthy, bringing that glam to the streets can be just as cool and chic.

Today, we are rounding up some of our favorite off-duty looks from our favorite models and showing you exactly how to recreate the street style looks with a sustainable twist.

1. Kendall Jenner

No stranger to the runway or the streets, Kendall Jenner is always pulling together the best behind-the-scenes looks for us to love. This oversized office outfit was spotted at NYFW a few weeks ago and we couldn’t wait to get the look. These high-waisted Lucette Pants from The Wylde are the perfect sustainable alternative, made from organic cotton and linen. They look casual until paired with a button-down shirt. We love this lavender version from Bondi Born, made with organic linen. And every good closet needs a sustainable tee—we love this one from Everlane.

2. Elsa Hosk

Even models love a good pair of jeans. This look from the gorgeous Elsa Hosk is perfect for fall. Oversized denim is in and paired with a cozy knit sweater, this look is stylish and cozy. We love these vintage-inspired jeans from Boyish, paired with this adorable linen-cotton blend knit cardigan from &Daughter. Complete the look with some sustainable trainers, like these from Adidas.

3. Jasmine Tookes + Josephine Skriver

Victoria Secret Angels and gal pals, Jasmine Tookes and Josephine Skiver are showing us exactly why floral dresses are everyone’s fav. For fall, we opted for these dashing styles in longer sleeve versions. Pair with sleek white sneakers for the ultimate street style. Top them off with an ethical gold necklace like this one from Octavia Elizabeth.

4. Hailey Bieber

Is there anything more fall than an adorable and comfy flannel? This look from laid-back style icon Hailey Bieber is fall outfit perfection. Recreate the look with Responsible Flannel from United by Blue. Hailey also gives this classic fit a twist with colored denim. We love this emerald green pair from Reformation. To finish off the look, grab this sustainable dad cap from Tentree.

5. Alexa Chung

No one quite does street style like Alexa Chung. Rarely seen in a boring outfit, her eccentric off-duty style is always memorable. Though I maybe never would have paired a girly mini skirt with a leather jacket, the moment I saw this outfit I needed the combo. We love this eco-leather trench from TheMoire paired with this blush upcycled cotton skirt from Whimsy + Row. Finish the look off with a cute sweater like this organic cotton Donald Duck Gucci sweatshirt.

6. Jourdan Dunn

Model Jourdan Dunn is a stunner on the runway and off. If black is your favorite color, this look is perfect for you—and there’s no better way to take a dress from summer to fall than a killer pair of high-rise boots. To make this fit sustainable you’ll want to grab these ah-mazing black over-the-knee boots from Stella McCartney. Pair it with this chic and sustainable skirt dress from Prada, made from its Re-Nylon fabric, and complete the look with this leather-free quilted handbag from Melie Bianco.

7. Adut Akech

From her stunning looks to her show-stopping walk, it is easy to see why the world is in love with Adut. Her street style is just one more reason we adore her. This easy-to-achieve look is also easy to pull off. To do it, grab this upcycled ribbed crop top from For Days and pair it with your favorite high-waisted denim. Then, top the look off with an oversized button-down. We love this organic cotton poplin shirt from BITE. No look is complete without amazing pumps, so get these mules from Piferi made from vegan eco Nappa leather.
